Short Bio of Dr. Naama Aviram:
Naama Aviram is an Assistant Member in the Molecular Biology Program at the Sloan Kettering Institute at MSKCC, where her lab studies how microbes defend themselves against viruses. She earned her PhD in cell biology and functional genomics at the Weizmann Institute of Science and completed her postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University, where she focused on CRISPR-Cas immunity in bacteria. Combining her background in functional genomics with microbial genetics, her research explores the mechanisms, coordination, and evolution of anti-viral immune systems and seeks to understand complex molecular networks.
