Matching incoming international students and postdocs to an upper-year buddy of the same nationality

The goal is to provide a trusted point of contact who has already navigated the unique challenges of moving to the US and joining Rockefeller. Having a buddy with the same nationality can be especially helpful for questions about visas, taxes, scholarships, and community. It is also a way to connect with events and networks that might be harder to find on your own, particularly if there are only a few people from your country at Rockefeller.

Buddy Happy Hour are held quarterly as an opportunity to connect with your buddy, meet other participants, and build community with fellow students and postdocs across Rockefeller.
