Dear Rockefeller Community,
RIGS (Rockefeller International Group of Scholars) invites you to our second installment of The Sweet Exchange on Tuesday, June 10th from 12:15–1:15pm.
Meet us in the 2nd floor lobby of the River Campus building (accessible via Kravis or behind Founders Hall). Bring your own lunch and enjoy a classic Italian dessert: Sfogliatella—a delicate, shell-shaped pastry filled with sweet ricotta and citrus, originating from Italy’s Campania region.
This informal gathering is a solidarity hour—a space for international scholars to connect, share, and feel supported. While we may not have solutions to the complexities of immigration and visa systems, we hope to offer a sense of relief, reduce feelings of isolation, and perhaps even help connect people navigating similar circumstances.
Feel free to drop in or stay for the full hour—all are welcome, but please sign up here so we can plan accordingly.
Ingredients (for dietary considerations): flour, semolina, butter, ricotta cheese, milk, sugar, eggs, candied orange peel or other citrus zest, cinnamon or vanilla.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this moment of connection and care.
Warmly,
Ana-Maria T.
on behalf of the RIGS Board
